Greetings!
Welcome to the official Guide to Landar, penned in the year of 633, the Second Age, by your humble bard, Figgle Yubbleton. I am under the impression that this is the most thorough collection of documents, maps, tales, and oddities about our fair world's history, from the First Age onwards.
So, whether you want to learn a little bit more about Landar's history, some of the beasts or artifacts collected from the Ashlands, or are simply wasting time until your next windwagon arrives, please browse all my trinkets and treasures.
And please keep in mind that some of the material belongs to the Museum of Wel-Tal. Just don't tell them that I've used a MirrorBox to share all of it with other people.
The traveled, handsome, witty, and brave Bard,
-Figgle Yubbleton

Happenings

12.30.2011
A new part of The Heart of Equilibrium is ready to read in the Tales chapter! Indulge yourself, friends! And a happy new year. To celebrate the passage of yet another epic 365 days, I commissioned a beautiful sketch of my face. A gift... for myself! I've published it underneath my signature.

11.30.2011
Friends! I'm ecstatic to announce that the first half of The Heart of Equilibrium is now available in the Tales chapter of the Guide. Please forgive the rather frivolous title, the scribe himself was embarrassed when he found out what the ancient text translated. Still, it's better to have read and been frustrated than to never have read at all.

11.26.2011
Three new pictures, sketched by the Summoner of this page, BL, are now on display in the Progressive Machines chapter. While they may not be as pleasing to the eye as CW's picture of the Cleaner, well, er... right. At least they exist, I suppose. Either way, the scribe continues to labor on the The Heart of Equilibrium. By tomorrow, at least part of it will be available for reading. Be excited!

11.09.2011
Hail, and a mighty new month to all of you weary travelers. I've been busy working out a contract with a dubiously reliable thief who swears he managed to swipe a scroll that tells the tale of King Gavandar and Lady Bastiria's forbidden romance, during the reign of the druids on Valiar. I hope to have some scraps of it in my hands by the end of the month!

As always, your dutiful bard is updating the Heroes, Monsters & Marvels chapter of the guide, as well as the maps.

10.23.2011
Friends! Thanks in large part to my diligence, and vigilant poking and prodding of the translator I hired, The Stone's Promise is now complete and can be found in the Tales section of the guide. Both the scribe and I were amazed to find out that the tale is composed of four different parts, rather than three. It was a brilliant undertaking, and well worth my very valuable time.

10.18.2011
Yes, yes, I know that I promised that The Stone's Promise would be finished by the end of the month, but I've encountered difficulties on the road. Not only that, the translator I hired discovered that the scroll is quite a bit longer than he originally thought! The tale will be available in three different segments. I promise that all three parts will be available by the end of the week. In other news, I've bought a cheap map of the King's Lands as an apology and will be annotating those destinations over the next few weeks.

9.27.2011
My scribe friend has finally translated some of The Stone's Promise, an epic tale that takes place in the Sunlands! He hopes to have it properly decoded by the end of the week, but you can read his rough translation here, just beware the redundancies after page four. I'm still figuring out how to calibrate this MirrorBox. When it's said and done, the Tales section should be one of the finest collections of stories in all of Landar! I have also slowly been poring over the map of the Sunlands and marking up points of interest for any tourist to the continent.

9.22.2011
The illustration of the Progressive Cleaner is complete, thanks to my personal friend, the renowned artist C.W. She plans to render even more of these creatures once she has acquired all the materials! Take a look at the wonderful painting under the Progressive Machines chapter under Heroes, Monsters & Marvels. One scribe is tirelessly working to translate a tale known as "The Stone's Promise" within a fortnight, a story that takes place in The Sunlands, 478-492 DR. Hold onto your seats, friends!

9.14.2011

Big things are happening to this humble bard's guide, my friends. I've enlisted the services of a Landar-class artist to start sketching some of the more oddball creatures of the world, starting with the Progressive Machine known as the Cleaner. Not only that, I've hired a few explorers and scribes to help tell the tales of some of The Mask of the World's more famous faces. Stay reflected to your MirrorBox for a "Tales" section at the end of this month!

9.1.2011
Friends! I've finally managed to enlist the help of a Conjurer to help summon this guide into everyone's MirrorBoxes. Welcome to The Guide to Landar! Please, feel free to browse any of these comprehensive documents, maps, tidbits, and scraps at your leisure. Your humble bard is here to serve. Expect much, much more in the coming days, months, and years, as I seek out even more treasures to share and adventures to tell.
